Job Summary
Adjust coolers after the welding process by using a pallet jack to transport them from the welding area to the straightening table, then manually or with a chain hoist lift them onto the table. Use hand tools to determine if straightening is needed, applying a hammer to non-level sides, tightening clamps, and drilling inserts as required. Document and stamp straightened units before transporting them to the test tanks while meeting production quotas. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report any issues to the Supervisor immediately. Adhere to AKG's environmental management system and all safety policies, including wearing provided steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use basic computer programs.
- Ability to read, write and understand detailed work instructions.
- Ability to use various hand tools.
- Must be able to stand (20%) and walk (80%) of the time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (75%) of the time.
- Must be able to use a pallet jack and a chain hoist.
- Must use safety equipment such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
