Job Summary
Operate the straightener machine to bend metal structural pipe to predetermined specifications, making adjustments via the control system and monitoring conformance to engineering parameters. Set up equipment for various pipe diameters as required, using tape measures and micrometers to ensure size tolerance. Maintain a clean work station while prioritizing safety in a fast-paced industrial environment. Read work orders and apply basic math skills for measurements. Candidates must be mechanically inclined, forklift and crane certified, and able to safely lift 50lbs. Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- 2 - 3 years' experience in industrial environment
- Must be able to use a tape measure and micrometers
- Must be able to read work orders
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have safety as a priority
- Forklift certified
- Crane certified
- Must be able to safely lift and load 50lbs
- Must be able to work outside in a variety of conditions
- Candidates must be able to tolerate any climate
- Must be flexible with shift and hours
Desired Qualifications
- Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Must be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.
