Job Summary
Straight Truck Driver (NON CDL) delivers items on a defined route in a timely and professional manner. Responsibilities include picking up packages from senders, delivering to recipients, following routes, meeting deadlines, maintaining safety, communicating with dispatch and customers, completing required paperwork, performing basic vehicle maintenance (fueling, inspections), collecting payments when applicable, and reporting issues to supervisors. Must be at least 18, a legal US resident, possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, and pass MVR/background checks. Also required are the ability to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, pallet jack and forklift certifications, and the ability to work in all-weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 150 lbs occasionally; willingness to drive extended periods. Location noted as Iron Mountain, MI; position may involve several routine driving duties and customer interactions as described.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a legal resident of the United States
- Must have a valid driver's license in good standing
- Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Must pass criminal background standards
- Must be able to obtain Medical Examiner’s Certificate (FedMed card)
- Pallet jack experience preferred; forklift experience preferred
- Must be able to obtain pallet jack and forklift certification
- Must be able to drive in all-weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 150 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to kneel, squat, climb ladders/stairs
- Must be able to drive for extended periods
