Job Summary
Conduct early-morning warehouse operations including sorting, verifying, and loading pallets into straight trucks for dedicated delivery routes to Office Depot and OfficeMax retail locations. Safely operate the vehicle while completing daily inspections, maintaining compliance with DOT standards, and ensuring all products are properly secured. Execute scheduled deliveries and pickups, unloading pallets independently using manual or powered pallet jacks, liftgates, and hand trucks. Obtain and record proof of delivery via handheld or tablet technology, escalating any issues regarding access, concerns, or product discrepancies. Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous customer service while following established SOPs and safety policies. Work a 4 x 10 schedule starting at 3:30 AM or 6:30 AM, with projected starts at 4:00 AM or 6:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Package delivery and/or palletized unassisted delivery experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must meet all applicable DOT qualification requirements
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record, including no moving violations or preventable accidents within the applicable rolling 36-month period
- Ability to use handheld scanners, tablets, or mobile devices to scan products and capture proof of delivery
- Experience delivering to loading docks
- Basic understanding of Bills of Lading (BOL), chain of custody, and seal integrity
- Ability to safely handle and transport a variety of products
- Ability to operate manual and powered material-handling equipment
- Working knowledge of the local delivery service area and ability to navigate efficiently
- Ability to lift and stack individual cartons weighing up to 75 pounds as needed
- Ability to operate manual and/or powered pallet jacks to move pallets weighing up to 2,500 pounds
- Ability to work safely in varied weather conditions
- Ability to work independently once on route while maintaining consistent productivity and service levels

Desired Qualifications
- Straight truck delivery experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience
- Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, liftgates, and/or forklifts
- Experience using GPS or electronic routing technology preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
