Job Summary
Develop safe, economical structures for metal building systems using proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis. Review and check structural drawings for accuracy while collaborating with detailing teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Create designs that adhere to industry codes and standards, utilizing your expertise in pre-engineered metal building systems to solve complex challenges. Regular travel and on-site visits are required, including access to multi-level job sites with construction elevators. You must wear protective equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hard hats while on-site. Flexible hours may extend beyond regular business days.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam before hire date
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship required)
- Regular travel and on-site visits required
- Ability to access multi-level job sites, sometimes using construction elevators
- Must wear protective equipment (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hard hats, etc.) while on-site
- Flexible schedule with hours that may extend beyond regular business days
