Job Summary
Story Land is hiring a Seasonal Transportation Operator (Van Driver) to safely transport hosts between work destinations and to special events, operating a van or other company vehicles on established routes. Responsibilities include greeting hosts, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, fueling and reporting mechanical issues, and adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The role requires a valid driver’s license and good driving record, English proficiency (Spanish or other bilingual skills a plus), and the ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. No formal education is required; prior public transportation or commercial vehicle operation experience is desirable. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; bilingual language skills are a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to transport hosts between destinations and operate motor vehicles in accordance with policies and laws
- No formal education requirements; 1+ years of public transportation or commercial vehicle operation experience is highly desirable but not required
- Ability to maintain safety, comply with traffic laws, and report issues promptly
- Physical ability to operate and sit in a vehicle for extended periods and handle tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds
- Ability to follow direction, work as part of a team and independently
- Knowledge of safety and uniform policies and vehicle rules and regulations
