Job Summary
Stormwater Construction Technician responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, underground utilities, and stormwater basins. Operates heavy equipment (skid loader, excavator, dozer), pours and finishes concrete with rebar, travels 85%+ for out-of-town assignments, and documents field observations while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Requires 2-4 years of construction experience, experience with heavy equipment and concrete repair, ability to travel frequently, valid license, and ability to perform demanding physical tasks. Negotiated pay range is $20.00-$25.00 per hour with per diem and company vehicle support; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k match, tuition assistance, and ongoing training. Location is Kansas City, KS with nationwide travel. The role is full-time with ongoing year-round work.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of construction experience.
- Experience with heavy equipment (skid loader, small excavator).
- Experience with repairing concrete structures, rebar, and concrete finishing.
- Prior experience with repairing and installing underground piping and detention/retention basins is a plus.
- Ability to do frequent out-of-town regional travel (85% or more travel required).
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
- Able to perform manual labor, lift and carry 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and under inclement weather conditions.
