Stormwater Client Service Manager/ Project Manager - NC

Job Summary

Grow the local stormwater market presence through targeted business development, strengthening key client relationships, and active participation in professional organizations. Partner with Stormwater Leads to develop strategies supporting sustained stormwater growth and innovation. Build and lead a stormwater project delivery team in North Carolina, managing planning and detailed design projects including pipe drainage systems, open channels, pump stations, and green infrastructure. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery. Requires a Licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina, 10+ years of stormwater engineering experience, and 5+ years managing teams. Some travel is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in Stormwater / Water Resource engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain licensure within six months
  • Proven track record in leading the planning and design of urban stormwater solutions addressing both water quantity and quality challenges
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams to deliver planning and design solutions for stormwater management challenges
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with client service and business development efforts, including project positioning, proposal preparation, interviews, and technical presentations
  • Hands-on experience with a range of modeling and design tools, including ICPR (1D/2D), HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D
  • Skilled in identifying, designing, and optimizing multi-benefit urban stormwater management projects
  • Familiarity with standard stormwater analysis tools, including HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Some travel is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with FEMA floodplain regulations and submittal of Letters of Map Revision (LOMR) and Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMR)
