Job Summary
Operates and maintains CVG Airport Authority's Storm Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) and related infrastructure, performing routine operational tasks for the biological treatment system, monitoring SCADA data, sampling influent/effluent, processing laboratory results, managing waste manifests, and assisting with snow removal on varying shifts. Responsibilities include regulating valves, gates, pumps and equipment; waste sludge handling; monitoring tank levels and fuel/oil presence; inspecting oil/water separators and detention facilities; maintaining records, ensuring compliance with the Kentucky DEQ permit, adjusting chemical feed dosages, writing standard operating guidelines, and supporting emergency responses on an on-call rotation. Requires SIDA clearance, valid driver's license/ CDL or ability to obtain, OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and preferred Wastewater Operator Treatment Class 1 certification within 2 years. Strong communication, computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets), teamwork, and safety awareness are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: HSD/GED Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
