Job Summary
Stores Operative to manage day-to-day operation of the London site stores, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely goods receipt, and efficient material flow to support production. Responsibilities include maintaining stock accuracy, performing cycle counts, recording inventory movements in SAP in real time, performing goods receiving, kitting according to BOM, and ensuring kits are delivered to production on time. Maintain orderly storage areas, support 5S activities, assist with stocktakes, and ensure compliance with H&S requirements. Collaborates with production, procurement, and engineering; requires familiarity with SAP and JIRA, and a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a stores, warehouse, or materials handling role
- Working knowledge of SAP (Inventory Management / Warehouse Management)
- Experience with goods receiving, stock control, and kitting
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely
- Basic IT skills (Excel, JIRA or similar ticketing systems)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Level 2 or Level 3 Warehouse & Storage qualification (or equivalent)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or production environments
- Understanding of BOMs and material flow
- Reliability and ownership of daily tasks
- Strong organisational skills and methodical working style
- Clear communication with production, procurement, and engineering
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance
