Job Summary
Establish and implement maintenance support programs for receiving and storeroom operations, managing MRO inventory replenishment and parts availability. Coordinate receiving, requisitioning, purchasing, and follow-up actions with vendors while conducting daily cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels. Lead storeroom improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and integrate operations with maintenance planning for better equipment reliability. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), train personnel, and analyze usage trends to optimize inventory and support Vendor Managed Inventory programs. Monitor performance against operating and financial KPI measures, identify obsolete inventory, and partner with Maintenance Planners to manage parts obsolescence and BOM accuracy. Serve as a liaison between maintenance teams, vendors, accounting, and procurement to resolve issues and drive cost reduction initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in BE Spare Parts Management and MRO Inventory Management systems
- Strong knowledge of MRO commodities, inventory control principles, purchasing, and requisitioning processes
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and perform physical tasks, including regularly lifting 10-20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings
- Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
