Job Summary
Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark items for facility placement, and deliver goods to appropriate areas. Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies. Notify managers of low stock levels, receive deliveries, and store perishables properly while rotating stock. Inspect case lots for freshness, cleanliness, and quality, refusing acceptance of damaged or incorrect items. Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains. Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash to proper storage areas. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager. Follow all company policies, maintain professional appearance, and speak clearly with guests and co-workers. Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
- Must be able to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps
- Must be able to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
