Job Summary

Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and part numbers against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and record receipts in the inventory system before stocking items. Issue parts to maintenance and production personnel, confirm correct items against requests, record transactions, and charge materials to work orders. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, investigate discrepancies, monitor stock levels, and initiate replenishment requests for critical spares. Keep the storeroom organized, manage obsolete stock, operate material handling equipment safely, and support maintenance planning by staging materials and flagging long-lead items. Work onsite in Kohler, Wisconsin for a three-month contract at $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior storeroom, warehouse, inventory, or parts counter experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accurate recordkeeping habits
  • Basic computer literacy sufficient for inventory system transactions, data entry, and spreadsheet work
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
  • Ability to work onsite in Kohler, Wisconsin
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance throughout the engagement
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the engagement

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an industrial or MRO storeroom
  • Familiarity with maintenance parts such as bearings, fasteners, electrical components, and hydraulic or pneumatic fittings
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with ERP or CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, or similar
  • Exposure to integrated supply or vendor-managed inventory models
  • Any purchasing or expediting experience
  • Experience supporting a maintenance department directly
  • Familiarity with reading parts manuals and identifying components from equipment drawings
  • Exposure to storeroom setup or reorganization projects
  • Exposure to barcode or scanning-based inventory systems
  • Any purchasing or vendor management responsibility
