Storeroom and Inventory Intern

Job Summary
Conduct daily cycle counts of storeroom inventory, verifying physical quantities against system records and reporting discrepancies. Assist with inventory audits, projects, and reorganization efforts by consolidating duplicate locations, sorting items into designated categories, and creating standardized labels. Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the storeroom by removing scrap materials and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements. Record inventory counts, location changes, and other data while unpacking and stocking incoming materials against packing slips. Work extended shifts as necessary in warehouse and plant environments, supporting supply chain and maintenance personnel with inventory-related initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to lift and move inventory materials as required
- Ability to work in warehouse and storeroom environments
- Requires adherence to all company safety policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles
- Ability to accurately count and record inventory data
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a safe work environment
- Willingness to learn supply chain and storeroom operations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
