Job Summary
Receive all incoming deliveries, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and inspect goods for quantity, quality, and condition. Properly store food, beverage, and general supplies in designated areas while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and compliance with FIFO and safety standards. Log received items into inventory systems, coordinate with Purchasing and Accounts Payable, and issue requested items to departments according to approved requisitions. Monitor stock levels, assist with regular inventory counts, and report discrepancies or spoilage to the Assistant/Director of Finance. Operate material handling equipment safely and ensure all goods are secured against loss. Join the pre-opening team at Delano London, set to open in 2026, where you will help establish inventory controls for this 67-key luxury retreat blending historic charm with contemporary design.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in receiving, storeroom, or warehouse operations
- Basic knowledge of hotel department supply needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to accurately count, record, and reconcile inventory
- Must be observant and able to respond quickly to discrepancies or supply issues
- Understanding of safety and sanitation standards related to food and supply storage
- Basic understanding of internal control practices and inventory documentation procedures
- Ensure manual handling policies and procedures are adhered to
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with inventory systems and procurement software (e.g., BirchStreet, Adaco) preferred
