Job Summary

Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and documentation, and ensure accurate system entry. Store materials in designated locations while maintaining proper stock rotation and clear labeling. Pick and pack orders for production according to work schedules, then transport materials safely using forklifts, sideloaders, and stackers. Monitor stock levels, perform regular cycle counts, and assist with full physical inventories to maintain accurate records. Prepare materials for shipment by completing packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation. Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse areas in line with company safety standards. Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a warehouse, stores, or materials handling role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong inventory management skills, including stock rotation, replenishment, and basic stock control practices
  • Proficiency in order picking and packing processes for internal and external shipments
  • Solid data entry and recordkeeping skills using warehouse management or ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, documentation, and basic freight handling
  • Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and work to production schedules
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with just-in-time or lean material supply practices
  • Familiarity with barcoding, handheld scanners, and automated inventory systems
  • Knowledge of basic quality control checks on incoming materials
  • Experience coordinating with logistics providers and carriers
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations related to warehousing and material handling
  • Formal training or certification in warehouse operations or logistics
  • Additional material handling equipment certifications (e.g., sideloader, stacker)
