Job Summary
Conduct order picking and packing according to pick lists, receiving inbound shipments, and verifying quantities against documentation. Prepare outbound shipments by labeling, packaging, and documenting to meet carrier requirements while updating stock movements in inventory software systems. Organize and rotate inventory to maintain accessibility, perform routine cycle counts, and keep work areas clean and safe. Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and resolve operational issues. Work the 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a requirement for high accuracy and physical stamina.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or storekeeping role
- Proficiency in order picking and packing, including handling various product sizes and weights
- Hands-on experience using inventory software systems or warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, documentation, and basic freight requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions clearly
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling orders and inventory records
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
- Availability to work 1st shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday–Friday standard schedule
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Formal training or certification in warehouse operations or inventory control
- Any relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA-related)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume distribution or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with barcode scanners, handheld devices, or RF systems
- Basic understanding of lean practices or continuous improvement in warehouse operations
- Forklift or other material handling equipment experience
