Job Summary
Storekeeper responsible for acquiring, warehousing and issuing materials for various hospital areas, including food, patient care, office and safety supplies, and medical/non-medical equipment. Duties include unpacking, moving, pulling goods, maintaining organization, and accurate inventory records; operate a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment; participate in day-to-day computerized storekeeping and inventory accounting; ensure compliance with procurement policies and manuals; collaborate with stakeholders and maintain safety practices. Requires strong physical stamina, math, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team in a hospital setting; includes routine checks and security/compliance steps (CR checks) and a shift of days in-person at Selkirk Mental Health Centre.
Required Qualifications
- Complete high school education (Manitoba standards)
- Experience in computerized Inventory Management System
- Experience with requisition, purchasing, receiving, storing, shipping and distribution of goods
- SAP – Warehouse Module is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent math skills
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to work with various stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with WHMIS and Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices
- Must be physically capable of lifting/moving 10 kg – 25 kg (25 lbs – 60 lbs)
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment
