Job Summary
Storekeeper responsible for managing and maintaining inventory, receiving shipments, recording stock levels, organizing storage, distributing materials to departments, conducting regular counts, reconciling discrepancies, identifying reorders to prevent stockouts or overstocking, ensuring cleanliness and safety of the store area, and operating material handling equipment as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar inventory management role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office)
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Forklift operator certification is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
