Job Summary
Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark items for facility placement, and deliver goods to appropriate areas. Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts, complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify managers of low stock levels. Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, and quality, refusing acceptance of damaged or incorrect items while adhering to food safety policies. Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, and food equipment. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
- Must be able to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps
- Must be able to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
