Job Summary
Prioritize and assign tasks to coordinate work schedules and ensure coverage in a retail commissary environment. Maintain supplies and equipment, train workers on safe product and equipment use, and monitor task progress to ensure quality. Investigate discrepancies, report issues to management, and initiate supply or repair orders when inventory is low. Stock merchandise, rotate products, remove excess or damaged items, and clean shelves and fixtures. Perform wet and dry clean-up, operate manual pallet jacks, and execute special projects as assigned. Requires at least one year of stocker experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of stocker, merchandising, or related experience
- Knowledge of company safety policies and procedures
- Knowledge of departmental operations, procedures, and organizational policies
- Ability to manage material resources and time and to work independently and as a team
- Knowledge of specialized departmental equipment
- Ability to train employees in proper departmental practices and procedures, including safety and proper use of PPE, tools, and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively; to present information and to respond to questions from managers, workers, clients, customers and others; and to escalate matters appropriately
- Human relations and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships
- Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities
- Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, and common sense skills
- Ability to interpret stock labels, shelf labels, date codes, and rotate stock appropriately
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
