Job Summary
Coordinate with retail management to train and develop partners, conducting on-boarding sessions that introduce new hires to company policies, procedures, and culture. Collaborate with front-end partners to ensure training guidelines are followed, monitor progress, and provide suggestions to management for improving work procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by adhering to safety procedures while making on-the-spot corrections to ensure a friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude. Remains current on company policies, business initiatives, and technologies, and reports partner progress during training periods to management. Requires flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a high school diploma or GED and relevant certifications such as HIPAA and Food Handler.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- one or more years of related experience
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification
- Food Handler certification
- TABC/LACT/AATC certification where applicable
- 21 years of age or older
- Intermediate understanding of Company checkout policies and procedures
- Intermediate knowledge and compliance of state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and lottery, as applicable
- Intermediate knowledge of anti-money laundering and other government regulations relating to monetary transactions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to motivate others and work well with a team
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to evaluate partner performance and make corrections as needed, in a tactful manner
- Ability to learn new processes and transfer knowledge to others
- Ability to perform basic Microsoft Office functions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Ability to effectively communicate (in written and verbal form) with customers and partners
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible
- Ability to report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor
- Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus
- Frequently required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling
- Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing)
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time
- Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs
- Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat
