Job Summary
Provide exceptional, neighborly service by helping customers select toys, comparing food labels, fitting harnesses, and educating families on pet ownership. Stock shelves, ring up purchases, unload delivery trucks, and carry heavy items to customers' cars. Feed and clean all store pets, answer animal care questions, and offer Preferred Pet Club membership details. This physically demanding role requires lifting 40-65 lbs and standing for long periods. Team members must be flexible for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, pass drug and background screening, and be at least 16 years old. At Pet Supplies Plus, you'll learn through our interactive Pet Degree pay-for-knowledge programs while supporting each other as a team.
Required Qualifications
- Be flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- All candidates must pass a drug and background screening
- Be 16 years or older
- Physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (40-65 lbs)
- Standing for long periods of time
- Support each other by acting as back-up when extra help is needed
- Be knowledgeable about animals and our products in order to provide outstanding neighborly service

- Be pawsitively passionate about people and their pets
- Like to know facts about animals (e.g., bearded dragons, umbrella cockatoos)
