Job Summary
Read customer orders, shipping requisitions, or internal requisitions to determine items for movement. Convey materials from receiving areas to storage or designated zones, then sort and place goods on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code. Assemble customer orders from stock, place them in pallets or shelves, and convey finished orders to the packing station or shipping department. Mark materials with identifying information, open containers, record received or distributed quantities, and weigh or count items to ensure conformance to standards. Enter records using a computer and prepare parcels for mailing via common carriers. Perform routine housekeeping including dusting, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, and trash liner changes.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma
- Attention to detail
- 0 to 3 years working in a warehouse
- Good to above-average computer skills
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- Some overtime may be required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen
- Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more
