Job Summary
Read customer orders, shipping requisitions, or internal requisitions to determine items for movement. Convey materials from receiving areas to storage or designated zones, then sort and place stock on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code. Assemble customer orders from inventory into pallets or shelves, convey them to the packing station or shipping department, and mark materials with identifying information after opening containers. Record received or distributed amounts and weigh or count items to ensure conformance to company standards. Enter records using a computer and prepare parcels for mailing via common carriers. Perform duties in a fast-paced environment requiring lifting of 50lbs or more, with a typical 9-hour Monday through Friday schedule and potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma
- Attention to detail
- 0 to 3 years working in a warehouse
- Good to above-average computer skills
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- Some overtime may be required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen
- Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more
