Job Summary
Partner with store team leaders to reinforce daily operational procedures and management routines. Provide leadership coverage and cover management functions up to four times a week when team leaders are offsite. Adhere to operational policies regarding cleanliness, animal care, safety, and security while assisting neighbors with product selection and customer interactions. Learn and perform back office procedures such as updating price changes and imputing cashier records. Participate in store recruiting, onboarding, and team member development, and act as a team member when not serving as manager-on-duty. Perform tasks including nail trims for pets and operate equipment like a forklift. Work flexible schedules with reliable transportation, passing drug screening, and be at least 18 years old.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of retail experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Ability to operate all equipment, including a forklift
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to bend
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass the drug screening
- Must be 18 years or older
