Job Summary
Conduct merchandising services and on-site customer support at retail locations to maintain service programs and relationships above expectations. Travel daily to multiple stores to resolve issues, execute store display resets by assembling racks and plan-o-grams, and manage inventory by down-stocking, removing defective items, and repairing displays. Complete customer service sheets, surveys, and photo documentation while maintaining required records and receipts. Provide direction to temporary personnel as needed and adhere to all company policies regarding time reporting and vehicle usage. This hourly role offers a flexible schedule with a company car and gas card, situated within Hillman's field services team that equips home improvement retailers nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Able to regularly travel to and among store locations, with occasional overnight stays as required to effectively service the territory
- Maintains a driver record acceptable under the provisions of Hillman's Vehicle Policy
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Windows
- Able to read & execute store plan-o-grams in an efficient manner
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and deal tactfully with the public
- Hand/eye coordination
- Function vision and hearing required
Desired Qualifications
- Two years field service or merchandising experience preferred, ideally in a large-scale retail environment
- College courses
