Job Summary
Conduct merchandising services and on-site customer support at retail locations to maintain service programs and customer relationships. Travel to and among multiple store locations as required to resolve issues, ensuring displays are set to plan-o-grams, assessing inventory, and down-stocking products. Perform physical work to tear down and assemble store displays, including racks and other prescribed items, while maintaining customer stores by removing defective product and placing POP material. Complete customer service sheets, surveys, and take photos of displays as directed. Submit required records and receipts timely, following prescribed time reporting procedures. Maintain a valid driver's license and drive up to 200 miles daily to service the territory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Able to regularly travel to and among store locations, with occasional overnight stays as required to effectively service the territory
- Maintains a driver record acceptable under the provisions of Hillman's Vehicle Policy
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Windows
- Able to read & execute store plan-o-grams in an efficient manner
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and deal tactfully with the public
Desired Qualifications
- Two years field service or merchandising experience preferred, ideally in a large-scale retail environment
- College courses
