Job Summary
Store Sales Manager accountable for the overall management and execution of operational excellence across the store, supervising Hardlines and Softlines teams, driving customer satisfaction, store profitability, and achievement of sales targets. Leads through team leads and staff to ensure exceptional customer service, develops staffing and scheduling plans, manages payroll hours, enforces store policies and safety rules, and participates in leadership walks and implementation plans. Responsible for compliance with firearms-related regulations (ATF Form 4473 and background checks), supervisory oversight of the talent lifecycle, and ongoing coaching and development of team members to meet department and company objectives. Requires full-time commitment with 45-50 hours per week; education and experience emphasize leadership, policy adherence, and data-driven operational decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least three years of relevant work experience required
- Demonstrated success in leading departments of up to 40 people
- Exceptional supervisory and management skills
- Ability to coach department members on store policies and expectations
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Strong business acumen and profitability orientation
- Proficient in inventory software, payroll systems and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
- Able to read and interpret general business materials
- Ability to train and develop staff
- Firearms Sales Certification training (required)
- Power Industrial Truck Certification training (required)
- Leadership University completion (required)
