Store Sales Associate

Job Summary
Greet and direct customers, answer product and promotion inquiries, and recommend solutions to support the shopping experience. Resolve customer concerns promptly, escalate complaints to leadership when necessary, and maintain a clean, organized, and profitable store environment through merchandising and inventory management. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, perform routine inventory counts, and assist with receiving, pricing, and replenishing merchandise. When assigned to a Lead Shift, coordinate daily operations, assign tasks to team members, and support opening and closing responsibilities. This role supports Daiso's mission to create joy through unique products at extraordinary value in a fast-paced retail setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 0-2 years of relevant retail, customer service, or sales experience
- Prior retail sales experience, sales associate experience, or similar customer-facing experience
- Prior experience supporting opening/closing, task coordination, training, or shift support
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members
- Customer-focused mindset with a positive attitude and desire to resolve issues promptly
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Dependability, punctuality, and professional conduct
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately process transactions
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Ability to support team members, assign tasks, and communicate expectations when scheduled for Lead Shifts

Desired Qualifications
