Store Sales Associate

Job Summary
Greet customers, answer product and promotion inquiries, and recommend solutions to support sales. Organize merchandise on shelves, restock displays, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor. Process cash and card transactions accurately while performing routine inventory counts and receiving new stock. When assigned to a Lead Shift, coordinate daily operations, assign tasks to team members, and assist with opening and closing procedures. Escalate customer complaints, safety concerns, or policy violations to store leadership immediately. This role supports Daiso's mission to create joy through unique products at extraordinary value in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 0-2 years of relevant retail, customer service, or sales experience
- Prior retail sales experience, sales associate experience, or similar customer-facing experience
- Prior experience supporting opening/closing, task coordination, training, or shift support
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members
- Customer-focused mindset with a positive attitude and desire to resolve issues promptly
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Dependability, punctuality, and professional conduct
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately process transactions
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Ability to support team members, assign tasks, and communicate expectations when scheduled for Lead Shifts
