Job Summary
Store Parts Professional at NAPA provides prompt, courteous service in-store, over the phone, or at the dealer’s shop. Responsibilities include looking up parts in catalogs or POS, processing orders accurately, advising customers on parts and technical questions, maintaining product knowledge, assisting other store staff, and supporting sales through greeting customers and demonstrating knowledge. Must maintain customer satisfaction, handle stock orders and pricing methods, and operate POS and catalog systems. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ASE Parts Specialist certification, ability to read part numbers/line codes, strong communication, and ability to handle physical tasks (standing, lifting up to 60 pounds) in a fast-paced retail environment. Willingness to work retail hours at assigned store locations and demonstrate professional appearance and conduct.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- ASE Parts Specialist (automotive) certification
- ability to operate a vehicle with manual transmission
- capable of lifting/moving parts up to 60 pounds
- functional literacy to understand part numbers and line codes
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- experience with POS systems and cataloging
