Job Summary
Oversee store operations across departments, supervise Assistant Store Managers and department heads, and provide training and professional development. Collaborate with the General Manager to establish and maintain standard operating procedures for ordering, merchandising, inventory control, receiving, storing, stocking, and customer experience. Manage budgeting with sales targets, margins, labor, purchases, and cost controls; coordinate purchasing/receiving and ensure safety, compliance with regulations, and a positive, cohesive team culture. Lead leadership activities, inventory performance, scheduling, and adherence to health and safety guidelines to maintain an optimal shopping experience.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in retail management (experience managing, background in natural foods and cooperative business model, preferred).
- Excellent computer skills and ability to use a variety of programs – proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven success working collaboratively and effectively delegating responsibility in a team environment
