Job Summary
Receive products from vendors, audit invoices for correct pricing, and create tags to maintain store pricing integrity. Operate office machines, process cash and checks, and manage records while answering telephones and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain full confidentiality regarding all proprietary information and business plans. Compile, sort, and file office activity records and occasionally route incoming mail. Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs, walking extended periods, and climbing stairs. Work full-time with a 40-hour weekly schedule, earning $16.00 to $18.00 with premium pay for weekend and early/late shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography, and transcription
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- Critical Thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Mathematical Reasoning to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve problems
- Writing effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Problem Sensitivity to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem and informing the correct individuals
