Job Summary
Lead the center store department operations for dry grocery, general merchandise, alcohol, dairy, and frozen food to maximize sales and profitability. Manage inventory control, receiving, planogram integrity, and pricing while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and municipal laws. Execute product recalls, enforce safety protocols, and maintain clean operating conditions to boost customer confidence. Delegate authority, train department managers on KPIs and stocking techniques, and support hiring and onboarding for new associates. Balance physical labor with administrative duties to foster an inclusive environment. Occasional overnight shifts required; background check and Food Safety Certification needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of background check
- Proficient with computer applications used in effectively operating the department
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Possession of Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain same within 180 days of placement
- High standard of integrity and reliability
- 3 - 6 yrs minimum Supervisory Experience
- 1 - 5 yrs minimum Relevant Experience
- Must be able to lift 250 lbs
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs
- Must be available for varied shifts, to include morning, afternoon, evening and closing shifts
- Must be available for a minimum of one (1) closing shift each week
- Occasional overnight availability
