Job Summary
Lead day-to-day store operations with a strong, visible floor presence while inspiring and coaching a large, diverse team to build future leaders. Deliver outstanding customer experiences aligned with service standards and drive sales performance through robust cost and productivity management. Manage rostering, budgets, and scheduling to achieve business and payroll targets, while maintaining visual merchandising standards and recruiting new staff. Recruit, train, and support team members through clear, honest feedback, upholding Universal Store's values and brand expectations. Work a Tuesday–Saturday roster including late-night trade.
Required Qualifications
- Strong retail background with hands-on experience across both shop floor and stockroom
- Proven experience as a Store Manager, leading medium to large teams
- A warm, energetic communicator who leads with positivity and purpose
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- High attention to detail with a strong understanding of retail profitability
- Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Confident in delivering feedback and communicating effectively at all levels
- Must work a Tuesday–Saturday roster, including late-night trade
