Job Summary
Oversee the Salem, NH location by recruiting, hiring, training, and motivating the team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales volume goals. Manage the sales floor, enforce store policies, control markdowns and expenses, and ensure accurate inventory management while maintaining merchandising standards. Lead daily operations by conducting training, handling customer complaints, and executing partnership events to drive customer acquisition and revenue. Work up to 40 hours weekly with weekend availability and additional hours during peak seasons. Report directly to the District Manager and support the company's mission of providing high-quality, affordable leather goods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail, store operations, and customer experience
- Possesses a true passion for customer success
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and time/project management skills
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet customer needs with a short turnaround
- Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment to and from backroom and sales floor
- Ability to place and arrange items on all shelves and racks
- Ability to climb and descend ladders while carrying merchandise
- Ability to lift 30 pounds or more with assistance
- Ability to be on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours per shift and to continuously move around all areas of the store
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or balance for a duration of time
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, reports, and information on computer/register screens as well as input information into computer
- This is a full-time position that will work up to 40 hours a week and will be available to work over the weekend
- Additional hours may be required during peak seasons
- This position requires the employee to reside in the same state as the assigned retail store location due to operational and compliance requirements
