Job Summary
Store Manager Trainee role responsible for planning, directing, and controlling store operations while supervising all employees to optimize profitability. Manages hiring, training, and disciplinary actions; oversees inventory, merchandising, losses, and budgeting; ensures compliance with state/federal regulations and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Responsibilities include opening/closing cash office, balancing cash, preparing weekly store reports, developing work schedules within store budgets, coordinating with vendors, and communicating business results and direction to staff. Travel to work up to 1 hour is expected. Strong interpersonal/leadership skills and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word are required.
Required Qualifications
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Travel to & from work up to a max drive time of 1 hr
- Read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Provide verbal and written direction to employees
- Supervise the recruiting and training of employees
- Discipline employees according to company policy when necessary
