Job Summary
Store Manager Trainee at Lidl in McLean, VA responsible for overseeing a store and its team (15-60 employees) to deliver excellent customer service, drive KPI improvements, recruit/train/develop staff, and perform hands-on store operations (cash management, stocking, cleaning). Requires leadership in a fast-paced environment, strong customer service, ability to de-escalate situations, and compliance with food-safety and liquor licensing requirements. Starting pay is $3,653.85 per hour with comprehensive benefits including medical; 401k with company match; and performance-based incentives. Location: Store 1523 - McLean, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 1-2 years of management experience and a bachelor’s degree OR 3-5 years of management experience
- Ability to lift, move, carry, or slide product over 50 pounds
- Ability to reach above head to heights greater than 10 inches
- Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific store alcohol licensing as needed
- Willingness to participate in the physical operations of the store, including stocking, cleaning, and ringing, on a daily basis
