Job Summary
Store Manager in Training responsible for learning to manage store operations, merchandising, signage, and customer experience. Responsibilities include recruiting and hiring store associates, coaching and developing staff on operations and merchandising, delegating store activities for smooth daily operations, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies, performing opening and closing procedures, implementing corporate-directed merchandising and operational direction, helping the store achieve profit goals, protecting assets, and maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders. Key skills include prior retail management experience (3+ years preferred), experience with hardlines or variety merchandise (BIG BOX experience a plus), strong productivity management in freight processing, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills essential for a high-energy, team environment. Physical ability to lift 30-50 lbs as required.
