Job Summary
Store Manager in Training at Dollar Tree, responsible for leading and developing store teams to deliver exceptional customer service. Roles include recruiting and hiring associates, training on operations and merchandising, coaching and correcting performance, overseeing all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies, performing opening/closing duties, implementing corporate merchandising directions, driving store profitability, protecting company assets, and maintaining a high level of customer service. Requires strong leadership, communication, and written skills; ability to manage merchandising, operations, and signage to create an inviting store environment; physical ability to lift 30-50 lbs and perform various in-store tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience preferred
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus preferred
- Strong productivity management in freight processing required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required
- Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
