Job Summary
Store Manager in Training at Dollar Tree responsible for recruiting and developing associates, overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with laws and policies, implementing merchandising and display strategies, and driving store profitability. Key duties include hiring and training associates, coaching on operations and merchandising, delegating store activities for smooth daily operations, enforcing policies, performing opening/closing procedures, executing corporate directives, protecting assets, maintaining high customer service, and sustaining a positive, safe, and respectful work environment. Required skills include retail management experience (preferably with hardlines/VAR/BIG BOX), strong productivity in freight processing, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the physical capability to lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly. The position is full-time and located in Boise, Idaho (ID-US).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred
- Strong productivity management in freight processing is required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
