Job Summary
Store Manager in Training role at Dollar Tree. Responsible for recruiting and hiring store associates, developing and coaching staff, overseeing all store activities, ensuring legal compliance, executing merchandising and operating directives, managing opening/closing procedures, driving profitability, protecting assets, and maintaining a safe, customer-focused environment. Requires prior retail management experience (3+ years preferred), strong communication and teamwork, ability to manage operations and freight, and physical ability to perform lifting and movement tasks. Includes comprehensive benefits and at-will employment terms.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience preferred
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience preferred
- Strong productivity management in freight processing required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required
- Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and perform related physical tasks with/without reasonable accommodations
