Job Summary
Store Manager in Training at Dollar Tree with on-the-job training to oversee store operations, merchandising, signage, and customer service; responsibilities include recruiting and developing associates, coaching on operations and merchandising, delegating store activities, ensuring legal compliance and policy adherence, managing opening/closing procedures, implementing corporate merchandising guidance, protecting assets, maintaining high customer service standards, and sustaining a positive, safe work environment. Candidates should have retail management experience, familiarity with hardlines/variety merchandise, strong freight-processing productivity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle physical requirements such as frequent lifting (30-50 lbs.). Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred
- Strong productivity management in freight processing is required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
