Store Manager Trainee

Job Summary
Recruit and hire store associates, then foster their growth through operations and merchandising training while coaching and correcting as needed. Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain full compliance with laws and policies, and implement corporate operational direction. Perform opening and closing procedures, protect company assets, and ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and associates. Help the store reach maximum profit contribution and maintain high standards for merchandising, placement, and signage. Full-time role with quarterly bonuses for meeting performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise
- BIG BOX experience
- Strong productivity management in freight processing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
