Job Summary
Store Manager in Training at Dollar Tree responsible for recruiting and developing associates, merchandising, and operations oversight to maintain high store standards. Duties include hiring and training staff, coaching team development, delegating store activities for smooth daily operations, ensuring legal and policy compliance, executing opening/closing procedures, implementing corporate merchandising directions, protecting assets, maintaining customer service excellence, and creating a positive, safe, and respectful work environment. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience preferred
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred
- Strong productivity management in freight processing is required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
