Job Summary
Store Manager in Training at Dollar Tree will lead in recruiting and developing store associates, oversee daily store operations and merchandising, ensure compliance with laws and company policies, manage opening/closing, implement directives from corporate, and drive store profitability while maintaining a safe, positive, and customer-focused environment. On-the-job training will equip you to manage profitability, merchandising standards, signage, and team development in a high-energy environment. Strong communication and leadership skills, plus the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and handle freight processing, are key components of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred
- Strong productivity management in freight processing is required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation is required
