Store Manager Trainee

Job Summary
Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers, then foster their growth through operations and merchandising training while coaching and correcting as needed. Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations, maintaining full compliance with applicable laws and regulations and enforcing company policies. Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters to help the store reach maximum profit contribution, protect assets, and ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders. Perform opening and closing procedures as required. Full-time role with quarterly bonuses for meeting performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise
- BIG BOX experience
- Strong productivity management in freight processing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
- Must meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
