Job Summary
Recruit and hire store associates, then foster their growth through operations and merchandising training while coaching and correcting as needed. Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations, enforce company policies, and maintain full compliance with applicable laws. Implement operational direction from corporate headquarters, manage opening and closing procedures, and protect company assets to reach maximum profit contribution. Deliver a high standard of customer service while maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise
- BIG BOX experience
- Strong productivity management in freight processing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation

- Natural leadership skills
- Ability to inspire teams to deliver exceptional customer service
- 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred
