Job Summary
Recruit and hire store associates, then foster their growth through operations and merchandising training while coaching and correcting as needed. Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards for merchandising, placement, signage, and display techniques. Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with applicable laws, protect company assets, and maintain a positive, safe environment for customers and associates. Implement operational direction from corporate headquarters to help the store reach maximum profit contribution. Full-time position with a quarterly bonus upon meeting performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise
- BIG BOX experience
- Strong productivity management in freight processing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
